How we work
Discovery to launch, without a handoff.
Five movements, one studio. The people who write the strategy sit with the people who build the site. Nothing interesting survives a wall.
The shape of it
A short document, then the making, then we stay.
We do not run a theatre of phases so a client can watch a process. We run just enough structure that later work cannot contradict what was already decided. Timing depends on the brief — a focused identity is usually three to four months; a website with development four to six.
06 — Process
How a project actually moves.
Interviews, audits, the unglamorous reading. We find what the company already knows and has not said.
Open the page 02 StrategyPositioning, narrative, principles. A short document that later work is not allowed to contradict.
Open the page 03 DesignIdentity, product, art direction. We design in systems, then make the first artefacts feel inevitable.
Open the page 04 DevelopmentBuild, motion, CMS. Engineering close enough to design that nothing gets “interpreted” on the way.
Open the page 05 LaunchQA, rollout, training, the first months of living with it. We stay until the work is in the world.

We read the work, the competitors, the archive. Interviews with the people who will have to live with the result — not only the people who commissioned it. A week or two, then a point of view we can argue with.
Open the page 02Strategy
Positioning, narrative, principles, the sentences the company is never allowed to say. Short on purpose. If it cannot be held in a conversation, it will not be held in the work.
Open the page 03Design
Systems first, then artefacts. Identity, product, art direction, the website as an editorial object. Designers and engineers in the same file, so we do not invent a look that cannot be built.
Open the page 04Development
Front-end, motion, CMS honesty. We build what we designed. If something has to change in the making, the design changes with it — not after a launch-week surprise.
Open the page 05Launch
QA, rollout, training, the first months. We stay until a non-designer can publish the twentieth page and it still looks like the company.

Working together
One weekly working session. Not a status meeting.
Most of our clients are not in London or New York. We travel when the work needs a room; otherwise we work remotely with a single weekly session that is for making decisions, not reporting them. Partners stay on the project. That is the reason we have not grown past fourteen.
